RENAULT TRUCKS C A TWO-IN-ONE VEHICLE TO SAVE UP TO 10% ON FUEL CONSUMPTION
OPTITRACK is the ideal alternative to conventional 4x2 rear wheel drive and conventional 4x4 all-wheel drive formats. This is an additional self-disengaging hydrostatic traction solution on the drive axle. The power is provided by two hydraulic motors integrated into the wheel hubs. With a simple press of the dashboard switch, you engage or stop the system and your 4x2 tractor transforms itself into a 4x4 to provide you with more traction. Above 27 km/h, it disengages automatically.
Renault Trucks C is a vehicle with an extremely low deadweight. Enhanced with OPTITRACK, it remains much lighter than a 4x4 configuration. You gain 490 kg of payload on each return trip.
With Renault Trucks C OPTITRACK, you save between 8 and 10% of diesel. In addition, the OPTITRACK system uses neither axle nor mechanical transmission, thereby removing unnecessary sources of resistance that consume fuel. Associated with the Optidriver+ gearbox, C OPTITRACK is a champion of consumption in its category.
Renault Trucks C OPTITRACK offers you 100% traction from start or when moving. Mud, ruts, sandy or rocky terrain… nothing stops it, either in reverse or forward gear. And when it’s raining and 4x2 vehicles are brought to a standstill, OPTITRACK continues working. OPTITRACK is available with the automated manual Optidriver+ gearbox, with its “Off Road” mode that means you gain even more mobility compared to a normal gearbox.
The product will be available on 4x2 and 6x2 in March 2014 and on 8x2 and 8x4 in September 2014.
NEW: OPTITRACK for Renault Trucks C can now be equipped with the Voith hydraulic retarder, ensuring level optimum speed reduction, especially in mountainous areas.
The Optitrack system combined with the Voith retarder is the best solution to increase performance in hilly areas with little grip.
